Abe R. Rant's Guide To Petrifying Podcasts On Roku - Day 26: Horror Series Beginning With The Letter 'Z' !!

Greetings, Boils & Ghouls...

... and welcome to 'Day Twenty-Six' of "Abe R. Rant's Guide To Petrifying Podcasts on Roku" where I aim to bring you another batch of Hallowe'en / Horror-related audio series from the plethora of petrifying podcasts that have been released in recent years - any of which can be streamed to your TV via the magic of Roku media players - so, let's dim those lights... for some more audio frights! :-O

If you read my special hallowe'en blogathon preview - FOUND HERE - that I published twenty-six days ago, then you'll know I plan to post one Hallowe'en / Horror related article each day, throughout the month of October, featuring an assortment of links to various podcasts beginning with the same letter of the alphabet every day of the month. For the sake of simplicity, I decided to begin this series of blog posts with the letter 'A' on 'Day One', followed by letter 'B' on 'Day Two', letter 'C' on 'Day Three', and so on and so forth, right the way through to letter 'Z' on 'Day Twenty-Six'. Obviously, as we've now reached 'Day Twenty-Six' and come to the end of the alphabet, that still leaves five more days' worth of posts... so I'll put my thinking cap on (tonight) and (hopefully) have some extra audio "treats" for you by the end of tomorrow. With thirty-one posts of the most spook-tacular sounding series I can find, between now and the end of the month, you'll have lots of great choice for your listening pleasure as we count the days to Hallowe'en, as well as plenty of spine-tingling thrills & chills 'twixt now and All Hallows' Eve on October 31st! ;-) :-D

For my twenty-sixth post in this series I'm going to share the link to just one audio "treat" because, as I explained yesterday, some letters of the (horror) alphabet just happen to have fewer options when it comes to podcast series than the rest... but (once more) it will be from the general spectrum of horror and the paranormal, with the "trick" (sic) being that the title for this podcast series will begin with the letter 'Z' - and, instead of having to claim "artistic licence" over the use of the definite article "The", as I've needed to with some of the podcast titles in many of my previous posts from this month-long blogathon... there's (again) no need to worry about that for today's post! ;-) :-D Anyway, with that minor caveat now clarified, here is my latest suggestion for yet another Hallowe'en / Horror-related podcast series... the title for which begins with the letter 'Z' of the (horror) alphabet:-

Z-LAND - Survival Horror P&P Podcast: is an horror-survival pen and paper role-playing gaming podcast, produced by Rycon Roleplays and Stormforge Productions, in which five friends attempt to survive in the harsh uncaring world of 'Z-LAND' where humanity is no longer top of the food chain, and where every day could be your last! :-O In addition to making all of the episodes available online via several podcast hosts (see links below) they have them uploaded as a single 'YouTube' playlist for those who'd prefer to access it there. Better yet, is that 'Z-LAND' is now more generally available and you need only visit 'whatiszland.com' to pick up your own copy & begin the challenge to survive! :-D Hunger, Thirst, Sleep and Exposure all wear you down in this battle of attrition with the unstoppable Dead. Find the answer to the question "just how long would I survive" as you & your friends attempt to do just that. What makes 'Z-LAND' unique is how they take the survival aspect of survival-horror very seriously. You'll see your character weaken as sleep deprivation, hunger & thirst slowly whittle them down. But that's where the choice comes in... will you just take it? Or will you do anything and everything necessary to survive? Your decisions in the early days greatly effect the path of survival you end up taking. You will lose people along the way; which could mean friends, or family, and it won’t be easy... but survival never is! :-O This is your story and you will decide it’s end! :-D ;-)

Anyhow, that's all there is for today... but do remember to come back again tomorrow, for my next batch of petrifying podcast recommendations, when I will provide some more links to further audio "treats", only next time it'll be a title (or titles) starting with a random letter of the (horror) alphabet, for 'Day Twenty-Seven' of "Abe R. Rant's Guide To Petrifying Podcasts on Roku". Once again you'll be able to listen through one of the various channels on your Roku streaming media player(s) which were outlined in my 'Special Hallowe'en Blogathon Preview' post, that was published on the last day of September. Meanwhile... please be sure to visit the "Countdown To Hallowe'en" website and show your support for this annual online Hallowe'en extravaganza PLUS don't forget to use the links you find there and check out all the other 'Cryptkeepers' taking part this year. I know they'll appreciate it, if you visit their blogs and share your thoughts on the contribution(s) they've made! ;-) :-D

ONE LAST THING, BEFORE I GO: Don't forget that, aside from the Hallowe'en / Horror-themed ghastliness going on around these parts for the next month, you can also keep up with the UK Roku action (as it happens) by checking-out my regular 'Weekly RoundUp' posts each weekend where you will find up-to-the-minute info on all things Roku-related is posted on a weekly basis (well, almost).

Until the next time, then...

That's all folks !!
