Abe R. Rant's Guide To Petrifying Podcasts On Roku - Day 10: Horror Series Beginning With The Letter 'J' !!

Greetings, Boils & Ghouls...

... and welcome to 'Day Ten' of "Abe R. Rant's Guide To Petrifying Podcasts on Roku" where I aim to bring you another batch of Hallowe'en / Horror-related audio series from the plethora of petrifying podcasts that have been released in recent years - any of which can be streamed to your TV via the magic of Roku media players - so, let's dim down those lights... for more audio frights! :-O ;-) :-D

If you read my special hallowe'en blogathon preview - FOUND HERE - that I published ten days ago, then you'll know I plan to post one Hallowe'en / Horror related article every day, throughout the month of October, featuring an assortment of links to various podcasts beginning with the same letter of the alphabet each and every day. For the sake of simplicity, I decided to begin this series of blog posts with the letter 'A' on 'Day One', followed by letter 'B' on 'Day Two', letter 'C' on 'Day Three', and so on and so forth, right the way through to letter 'Z' on 'Day Twenty-Six'. Obviously that will still leave five more days worth of posts, by the time we reach the end of the alphabet, so I'll put my thinking cap on (between now & then) to (hopefully) come up with some extra audio "treats" for you by then. With thirty-one posts of the most spook-tacular sounding series I can find, between now and the end of the month, you'll have lots of great choice for your listening pleasure as we count the days to Hallowe'en, as well as plenty of spine-tingling thrills & chills 'twixt now and All Hallows' Eve on October 31st! :-D

For my tenth post in this series I'm going to be sharing links to one less audio "treat" than yesterday, but (once again) they will all be from the general spectrum of horror and the paranormal, with the unifying "trick" (sic) that the title for each of these podcast series begins with the letter 'J' - although some artistic licence has been taken to ignore "The", when used at the start of the title, so as to avoid having to post too many links for letter 'T' on 'Day Twenty' of this month-long blogathon. So, without further ado, here are my suggestions for Hallowe'en / Horror-related podcast series... the titles for which all begin with the letter 'J' of the (horror) alphabet:-

The Jack and Nick Horror Show: is hosted by two friends who just love horror... in all of it's various shapes and forms! Jack Knapp and New Jersey Nick have been podcasting for quite some time now. The two of them were original members of an older podcast called 'SlasherCast' which went away but, luckily for the fans, Jack and Nick came back fairly quickly with this show. Their podcast series features horror news, a Movie of the Week, and (usually) a segment where they include the fans, in one way or another. It's a pretty good show, that seems to get better & better with each episode! :-D

Jim Harold’s Campfire: is perhaps the best tool (currently in existence) that we have to hear real-life scary stories, from other human beings, since the actual campfire was invented. This series is hosted by paranormalist / podcaster, Jim Harold, and the hour-long show (during which he invites listeners to call in and share their ghost stories) features the kind of tales that would normally otherwise have been shared while gathered around a campfire with friends. Harold is a capable host, letting his guests tell their story, in the way they want, and only interrupting for a well-placed “Wow!”, or to ask for a little clarification. Not all the stories are "winners", but it almost doesn’t matter... because hearing a first-person scary story is often just the kind of pure, uncut horror the mind is in need of! :-O ;-) :-D

The Junto Presents: is a podcast series produced by David Parkin and Robert J. Gibbs. Each show is presented from Franklin Manor - home to The Junto: a social club, in the classic style, where mystics, adventurers, and other unique individuals, gather to socialise or conduct their private business. Club historians, Dave Parkin and Rob Gibbs, offer us a rare glimpse into this strange & wonderful world... as they share archived stories, which have been submitted by club members over the centuries! :-D

Anyhow, that's all I've got time for today... but do remember to come back again tomorrow, for my next batch of petrifying podcast recommendations, when I will provide even more links to further audio "treats", only next time they'll be titles that begin with the letter 'K' of the (horror) alphabet, for 'Day Eleven' of "Abe R. Rant's Guide To Petrifying Podcasts on Roku". Once again you will be able to listen to them all through one of the various channels on your Roku streaming media player(s) which were outlined in my 'Special Hallowe'en Blogathon Preview' post, that was published on the last day of September. Meanwhile... please be sure to visit the "Countdown To Hallowe'en" website and show your support for this annual online Hallowe'en extravaganza PLUS don't forget to use the links you find there and check out all the other 'Cryptkeepers' taking part this year. I know they'll appreciate it, if you visit their blogs and share your thoughts on the contribution(s) they've made! ;-) :-D

ONE LAST THING, BEFORE I GO: Don't forget that, aside from the Hallowe'en / Horror-themed ghastliness going on around these parts for the next month, you can also keep up with the UK Roku action (as it happens) by checking-out my regular 'Weekly RoundUp' posts each weekend where you will find up-to-the-minute info on all things Roku-related is posted on a weekly basis (well, almost).

Until the next time, then...

That's all folks !!
