Abe R. Rant's Guide To Petrifying Podcasts On Roku - Day 11: Horror Series Beginning With The Letter 'K' !!

Greetings, Boils & Ghouls...

... and welcome to 'Day Eleven' of "Abe R. Rant's Guide To Petrifying Podcasts on Roku" where I aim to bring you another batch of Hallowe'en / Horror-related audio series from the plethora of petrifying podcasts that have been released in recent years - any of which can be streamed to your TV via the magic of Roku media players - so, let's dim down those lights... for more audio frights! :-O ;-) :-D

If you read my special hallowe'en blogathon preview - FOUND HERE - that I published eleven days ago, then you'll know I plan to post one Hallowe'en / Horror related article every day, throughout the month of October, featuring an assortment of links to various podcasts beginning with the same letter of the alphabet each and every day. For the sake of simplicity, I decided to begin this series of blog posts with the letter 'A' on 'Day One', followed by letter 'B' on 'Day Two', letter 'C' on 'Day Three', and so on and so forth, right the way through to letter 'Z' on 'Day Twenty-Six'. Obviously that will still leave five more days worth of posts, by the time we reach the end of the alphabet, so I'll put my thinking cap on (between now & then) to (hopefully) come up with some extra audio "treats" for you by then. With thirty-one posts of the most spook-tacular sounding series I can find, between now and the end of the month, you'll have lots of great choice for your listening pleasure as we count the days to Hallowe'en, as well as plenty of spine-tingling thrills & chills 'twixt now and All Hallows' Eve on October 31st! :-D

For my eleventh post in this series I'm going to share some links to a couple more audio "treats" than there were yesterday, but (again) they're all from the general spectrum of horror and the paranormal, and the unifying "trick" (sic) is that the title for each of these podcast series begins with the letter 'K' - SPOILER ALERT: although it's still only a handful of recommendations, I can assure you that there are (at least) a couple of absolute "krackers" (sic) among them, which ought not to be missed under any circumstances. So, without further ado, here are my suggestions for Hallowe'en / Horror-related podcast series... the titles for which all begin with the letter 'K' of the (horror) alphabet:-

Kill By Kill: takes an in-depth look at both the "Friday the 13th" and "A Nightmare On Elm Street" horror franchises. In each episode, Patrick Hamilton and Gena Radcliffe unpack all the gory details of horror cinema's least discussed component: the characters. Their mission is to detail each hack, slash and decapitation of these classic slashers... hoping that a victim's untimely end is just the beginning of the jokes they can make about them - Thank Jason it's Friday, as the s(l)aying goes! :-P ;-) :-D

Knifepoint Horror: These tales of supernatural suspense by Soren Narnia adhere to the most primal element of storytelling: a single human voice describing events exactly as it experienced them. Music by Kevin MacLeod. Those of you who like your ghost stories as simple and deconstructed as possible are practically required to give 'Knifepoint Horror' a listen. It's a scary storytelling podcast for those who thought the already minimalist and simple 'NoSleep Podcast' was too flashy. The emphasis on the supernatural is a great respite from the daily grind and this podcast series is the work of one storyteller - Soren Narnia. Every episode presents a single scary tale, and each one embodies a new character. The stories themselves feature no sound effects or soundtrack, and the narrator rarely speaks above a whisper. It’s as good a scary story listening experience as you’re likely to find! :-D

Anyhow, that's all I've got time for today... but do remember to come back again tomorrow, for my next batch of petrifying podcast recommendations, when I will provide even more links to further audio "treats", only next time they'll be titles that begin with the letter 'L' of the (horror) alphabet, for 'Day Twelve' of "Abe R. Rant's Guide To Petrifying Podcasts on Roku". Once again you will be able to listen to them all through one of the various channels on your Roku streaming media player(s) which were outlined in my 'Special Hallowe'en Blogathon Preview' post, that was published on the last day of September. Meanwhile... please be sure to visit the "Countdown To Hallowe'en" website and show your support for this annual online Hallowe'en extravaganza PLUS don't forget to use the links you find there and check out all the other 'Cryptkeepers' taking part this year. I know they'll appreciate it, if you visit their blogs and share your thoughts on the contribution(s) they've made! ;-) :-D

ONE LAST THING, BEFORE I GO: Don't forget that, aside from the Hallowe'en / Horror-themed ghastliness going on around these parts for the next month, you can also keep up with the UK Roku action (as it happens) by checking-out my regular 'Weekly RoundUp' posts each weekend where you will find up-to-the-minute info on all things Roku-related is posted on a weekly basis (well, almost).

Until the next time, then...

That's all folks !!
