Hi, everyone !!
While it doesn't quite match the number of new channels released last week, I'm pleased to say that we have, nevertheless, had YET ANOTHER HUGE CROP OF NEW CHANNELS to further boost the UK Channel Store total. To wit, no less than NINETY-FOUR NEW ROKU APPS have been added to the already vast selection of over six thousand three hundred apps which populated the channel store as of this time last week. This means we have now been blessed with almost thirteen hundred new apps, during a period of just thirteen weeks, any of which UK Roku owners can add to the individual selection of apps installed on their device(s). As if that wasn't enough... there are also several items of streaming-related news for me to report on but, unfortunately, owing to prior family commitments this weekend I will need to postpone my summary of all the Roku (and other) news from the past seven days for a day or two - until I can find the time to catch up with everything and add the "missing" details to this post - because, right now, I must instead focus on listing all those new Roku apps! ;-) :-)
Before I get into the current list of channels, however, I would just like to point-out that the ongoing issue of "missing" reviews from the 'Roku Guide' website appears to have been growing steadily worse. Over the course of the last thirteen weeks, my 'Weekly RoundUp' posts have seen a total of 1,278 new channels added. Meanwhile, the number of 'Roku Guide' reviews being published has continued to fall short of the mark during that time. Looking at all the articles they have published since the start of the year, there has been a total of only 395 new reviews added to their website. With a minimum of around another seventy "missing" reviews from the last seven days they are close to seventy percent short of where they should be and, if this continues, there could be hundreds (if not thousands) more Roku channels with no corresponding independent review for me to provide a link from the relevant 'Weekly RoundUp' posts on my blog. I'm hoping this shortfall will be addressed soon because, as mentioned nine weeks ago, the current situation isn't good for anyone with a connection to the Roku platform: be they end-users, developers, bloggers like myself, or even Roku - whose platform provides the very source from which the 'Roku Guide' website generates their reviews! :-O
Still, back to the list... which, as always, will help you to identify the very latest apps that have been added to Roku devices in the UK. Other websites offering Roku channel listings will base their contents on the Roku USA Channel Store, which means they also include apps that are unavailable to UK Roku users. So, like I've said before... if you really want to know what's available channel-wise, for owners of Roku devices in the UK, you need to be reading this blog each and every week! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That although a 'Roku Guide' review of a similarly-named channel was published this week, for an app going by the title of "The Lawless Years - Free TV" in the Roku Channel Store, it has nothing in common with 'The Lawless Years Series' channel (shown above) except for the name of the television show which is featured in both cases. Moreover, 'The Lawless Years - Free TV' app is (itself) little more than an updated version of an earlier Roku channel - 'The Lawless Years' - which was released in July 2018 and featured in my "Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #281". If you'd like to read-up on that original channel, you will find links to both the description of the app from the Roku Web Channel Store, and the associated 'Roku Guide' review, featured in that article. In so far as I am aware, no 'Roku Guide' review for "The Lawless Years Series" has been published... but, if/when I am made aware of a link to any such review, I will update this post accordingly.

PLEASE NOTE:- That this 'HolyWalkers Haunted America' channel was originally published under the (slightly) shorter title of "Haunted America" but, within days of that initial release, the name was subsequently amended to the one now shown above. Evidence of this simple rebranding exercise can be seen in the unique Roku Channel Store 'identifier' - in this case '.../details/280223/...' - which is the same for both versions of the channel. The change was most likely implemented due to the existence of an earlier channel, also called 'Haunted America', which was released just over one month ago and listed as part of my "Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #309" post on 9th February 2019. As far as I know, no 'Roku Guide' review (currently) exists for that previous 'Haunted America' Roku channel but, if/when I am made aware of any such review, I'll amend the relevant post accordingly.

PLEASE NOTE:- That the 'History is Us' channel was originally added to the Roku Channel Store under the title of "This is Us" but, shortly after it's initial release, the developer changed the name of their app to "History is Us" which also generated a new URL ending for the webpage containing a description of their app in the Roku Web Channel Store. However, despite the change of name, they (somewhat confusingly) kept the same 'HD Poster' image [aka channel icon] bearing the original title 'This is Us' in large yellow letters as shown above. While the "History is Us" channel name has also been added to the webpage of the corresponding review published via the 'Roku Guide' website, the ending of the URL which redirects to that 'Roku Guide' review still bears the original title. Luckily, however, both original links (i.e. the Roku Web Channel Store description and 'Roku Guide' review) still redirect to the correct webpage(s) for the 'History is Us' channel on the Roku platform.

PLEASE NOTE:- That this 'HolyWalkers Haunted America' channel was originally published under the (slightly) shorter title of "Haunted America" but, within days of that initial release, the name was subsequently amended to the one now shown above. Evidence of this simple rebranding exercise can be seen in the unique Roku Channel Store 'identifier' - in this case '.../details/280223/...' - which is the same for both versions of the channel. The change was most likely implemented due to the existence of an earlier channel, also called 'Haunted America', which was released just over one month ago and listed as part of my "Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #309" post on 9th February 2019. As far as I know, no 'Roku Guide' review (currently) exists for that previous 'Haunted America' Roku channel but, if/when I am made aware of any such review, I'll amend the relevant post accordingly.

PLEASE NOTE:- That the 'History is Us' channel was originally added to the Roku Channel Store under the title of "This is Us" but, shortly after it's initial release, the developer changed the name of their app to "History is Us" which also generated a new URL ending for the webpage containing a description of their app in the Roku Web Channel Store. However, despite the change of name, they (somewhat confusingly) kept the same 'HD Poster' image [aka channel icon] bearing the original title 'This is Us' in large yellow letters as shown above. While the "History is Us" channel name has also been added to the webpage of the corresponding review published via the 'Roku Guide' website, the ending of the URL which redirects to that 'Roku Guide' review still bears the original title. Luckily, however, both original links (i.e. the Roku Web Channel Store description and 'Roku Guide' review) still redirect to the correct webpage(s) for the 'History is Us' channel on the Roku platform.

In so far as I am aware, no 'Roku Guide' review (currently) exists for either incarnation of this Roku channel but, if/when I am made aware of any such review(s), I will amend any related article(s) accordingly and add the "missing" link(s) to this 'Weekly RoundUp' post.
