Hi, everyone !!
As with last week, the additional burden of my daily post for the "Countdown To Hallowe'en" today, has meant there were simply not enough hours in the day for me to complete my 'Weekly RoundUp' post ahead of my (self-imposed) publishing deadline. As usual, I have managed to cobble together a full list of all the new additions to the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store during the past seven days in time, but that's going to have to suffice for now. I should be able to catch-up with all the "missing" info and Roku-related news for you by tomorrow night (Sunday) but hopefully this will keep you going until then. If not, check out the afore-mentioned "Countdown To Hallowe'en" post from earlier today for links to an classic horror movie you can watch on your Roku device between now & then! ;-)
Meanwhile... in keeping with previous installments from the 'Weekly RoundUp' series, details of any new channels have been listed below, together with links to obtain further information {by clicking on the channel name(s) beneath the respective channel icon(s) as pictured} and to read a 'Roku Guide' review (where available) with an independent (slightly more expansive) assessment of each one:-
NFL...................COST: FREE + $99.99 GAME PASS SUBSCRIPTION (OPTIONAL) [Roku Guide Review]
***FILED UNDER: "SPORTS" in Roku UK Channel Store WHEN FIRST RELEASED***
PLEASE NOTE:- That, this 'NFL' channel for Roku devices has been listed as "New" since it replaces (as well as incorporates) the previous 'NFL Now' channel. Consequently, the FREE-TO-VIEW content on offer is represented by what was formerly available via the 'NFL Now' stand-alone channel (which was non-functional, for a while, before being removed completely from the Roku channel store). The (optional) additional PAID CONTENT comes courtesy of the access provided for 'NFL Gamepass' subscribers to watch exclusive premium content which comes with membership to that service. As the purchase of an current 'NFL Gamepass' subscription will remain valid through until 31st July 2016 this means you would be paying the equivalent of around $10 PER MONTH for FULL ACCESS to all the benefits of an 'NFL Gamepass' membership. For more information as to precisely what you will get via an paid 'NFL Gamepass' subscription, versus the free 'NFL Now' basic content, I recommend that you read the 'Roku Guide' review (see link, above) and make use of the additional links provided there to visit the relevant 'NFL' website for your chosen access level. If you're a big fan of American Football then an 'NFL Gamepass' subscription represents pretty good value for money as an alternative to the other options for UK viewers (i.e. Sky, BT, etc.) and, like the 'WWE Network' before it, gives true fans of the sport an ideal opportunity to stream it "at source" and (potentially) save money in the process! ;-)

MOTORTREND ON DEMAND...COST: FREE (n.b. may require additional fees) [Roku Guide Review]
***FILED UNDER: "SPORTS" in Roku UK Channel Store WHEN FIRST RELEASED***
PLEASE NOTE:- That, although this 'Motortrend OnDemand' channel is FREE-TO-ADD to your Roku device(s) and does have plenty of FREE-TO-VIEW CONTENT available, the description from the channel store states that this channel, "May require additional fees", in order to view certain content that could be added (perhaps, in future) to the selection found therein. From what I can tell, by visiting the website, online viewers are offered an 14-DAY FREE TRIAL with which to evaluate the service, but ONGOING FULL ACCESS to the content available REQUIRES AN PAID SUBSCRIPTION to 'Motortrend OnDemand'. There does appear to be more content available online, including references to LIVE EVENTS which may be streamed from time to time. So perhaps some (if not all) of this will also be made available via their Roku channel and hence the potential for "additional fees" for viewers. Hopefully, this mystery will be cleared-up over time but, for now, you can enjoy the free content already available via Roku and we'll let you know if we hear anything further. Meanwhile, those wishing to access the additional online content (via an web browser) will first need to register for an account, VIA THIS LINK, and make use of the free trial to see if it's worth subscribing long-term. If you do decide to continue with your online membership, you will find FULL DETAILS on the same webpage through which you registered OF ALL PRICE PLANS AVAILABLE, with options to pay $50.00 (US Dollars) FOR ONE YEAR or $80.00 (US Dollars) FOR TWO YEARS. Whichever one you opt for will still save you money (over time) versus the $5.00 PER MONTH plan outlined above.
