Hi, everyone !!
While it may pale in comparison to the list of over one hundred new channels released last week, we've still had A DECENT CROP OF NEW CHANNELS to boost the UK Channel Store total just that little bit further. To wit, no less than FORTY-EIGHT NEW ROKU APPS have been added to the already vast selection of over eight thousand seven hundred apps which populated the channel store as of this time last week. As if that wasn't enough... there were also several items of streaming-related news for me to report on but, unfortunately, I must postpone my summary of Roku (and other) news from the past week until I can find time to catch up with everything and add the "missing" details to this post - since, being rather pushed for time, I must focus on listing the new Roku apps for you! ;-)
What follows will be a list of all the latest new Roku channels (apps) which were released during the seven days since my last 'Weekly RoundUp' post was published and, with a decent crop of forty-eight new channels to browse, that should be more than enough to keep you occupied while I assemble the odd snippets of Roku-related news I found for you during that same time period! :-)
Before I get into the current list of channels, however, I would just like to point-out that the ongoing issue of "missing" reviews from the 'Roku Guide' website appears to have worsened (yet again) since my last mention of it on this blog. Throughout the course of last year, they were repeatedly more than seventy-five percent shy in terms of reviews produced versus the actual number of Roku channels released in anygiven week. By the end of 2019 there were thousands of "missng" reviews and the situation shows no signs of improving as we go into the new year. Over the last two weeks, since the start of 2020, my 'Weekly RoundUp' posts have seen a total of 165 new channels added. Meanwhile, the number of 'Roku Guide' reviews published in that time has fallen even more short of the mark. Amazingly they have produced only twenty-three new 'Roku Guide' reviews, in the last fortnight, and just eleven of those came within the last seven days! :-O Quite how they managed only 11 reviews, with just four from the current week; two more from last week, and; one from five weeks before that, plus; another that was still "missing" from nine weeks ago, along with; three US-only channels, when there were upwards of 48+ new Roku channels released in the past seven days, is beyond me! Unfortunately, this can't be seen as being an exception to the rule... because, digging through their archives, it's clear this has been happening all too frequently. With a minimum of forty-four more "missing" reviews from the past week, they remain more than seventy-five percent short of where they should be and, if this continues, there could be hundreds (if not thousands) more Roku channels with no corresponding independent review for me to provide a link from the 'Weekly RoundUp' posts on my blog. I hope this shortfall is addressed soon because, as mentioned 51 weeks ago, the current situation isn't good for anyone connected to Roku: be they end-users, developers, bloggers like myself, or even Roku - whose platform is the source 'Roku Guide' use to compile their reviews! :-O
Still, back to the list... which, as always, will help you to identify the very latest apps that have been added to Roku devices in the UK. Other websites offering Roku channel listings will base their contents on the Roku USA Channel Store, which means they also include apps that are unavailable to UK Roku users. So, like I've said before... if you really want to know what's available channel-wise, for owners of Roku devices in the UK, you need to be reading this blog each and every week! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That, while this new 'YourTime TV' channel for Roku devices can be found within the 'Just Added' category (i.e. genre) of the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store, no permanent category / genre had (at the time of writing) been assigned to the channel in the UK. If I somehow succeed in bringing this matter to the attention of the developer / content provider, I'd expect to see this app given a permanent "home" under either 'Film & TV' or 'International' in the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store within a few weeks of so-doing. In the meantime, if you don't wish to trawl through the 'Just Added' category of the channel store to find it, I suggest you take advantage of the built-in Roku 'Search' feature to locate and install it. Using this method, you probably won't even need to finish typing the word "YourTime" before seeing the channel listed among the 'Search Results' displayed on the right-hand side of your television screen. Failure to assign a permanent channel store category for the UK within the next week or two (however) would mean that, once it ceases to be part of the 'Just Added' category, it would no longer be listed in the channel store. So, if you think you're likely to want this channel, my advice would be to install it by the end of January (at the latest) as, if the necessary edits aren't made to the Roku channel package (.PKG file) by then, you will not see it in there afterwards. Needless to say, if/when the channel is edited to include a permanent channel store category for the UK, I'll update this listing with details of whatever genre has been assigned to it. As mentioned I'd expect this to be either 'Film & TV' or 'International' , but it may (possibly) wind-up in another category.
