Hi, everyone !!
While it doesn't quite match the number of new channels released last week, I'm pleased to say that we have, nevertheless, had YET ANOTHER HUGE CROP OF NEW CHANNELS to further boost the UK Channel Store total. To wit, ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHT NEW ROKU APPS have been added to the already vast selection of more than seven thousand six hundred apps which populated the channel store as of this time last week. This means we have now been blessed with a little over three thousand three hundred new apps, during a period of just thirty-four weeks, any of which UK Roku owners can add to the individual selection of apps installed on their device(s). As if that wasn't enough... there are also several items of streaming-related news for me to report on but, unfortunately, I will (once again) need to postpone my summary of all the Roku (and other) news from the past week until I can find time to catch-up with everything and add the "missing" details to this post - because, right now, I must focus on listing all of those 128 new Roku apps for you! ;-) :-)
Before I get into the current list of channels, however, I would just like to point-out that the ongoing issue of "missing" reviews from the 'Roku Guide' website appears to have worsened (yet again) since my previous article for this blog. Over the last thirty-four weeks, my 'Weekly RoundUp' posts have seen a total of 3,316 new channels added. Meanwhile, the number of 'Roku Guide' reviews being published during that time has continued to fall short of the mark. Amazingly, one of the "new" apps they did manage to review was a Roku channel called 'Driven Car Reviews' that featured on this blog in March 2019 as part of my 'Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #316' post - i.e. back when it actually was a "new" channel. Quite how they manage to only produce twenty-four reviews, with just 5 from the current week; 14 from the last, and; 1 from 5 months ago, plus; 4 US-only channels, when there were upwards of 128 new Roku channels released in the past seven days is beyond me! Unfortunately, this cannot be seen as an exception to the rule... because, digging through the archives, it soon becomes clear that this has been happening all too frequently. Looking at all of the articles they have published since the start of the year, there has been a total of only 914 new reviews added to their website. With a minimum of one hundred and twenty-three "missing" reviews from the last week they remain more than seventy percent short of where they should be and, if this continues, there could be hundreds (if not thousands) more Roku channels with no corresponding independent review for me to provide a link from each of the 'Weekly RoundUp' posts on my blog. I hope this shortfall is addressed soon because, as mentioned thirty weeks ago, the current situation isn't good for anyone connected to Roku: be they end-users, developers, bloggers like myself, or even Roku - whose platform provides the very source from which 'Roku Guide' generate their reviews! :-O
Still, back to the list... which, as always, will help you to identify the very latest apps that have been added to Roku devices in the UK. Other websites offering Roku channel listings will base their contents on the Roku USA Channel Store, which means they also include apps that are unavailable to UK Roku users. So, like I've said before... if you really want to know what's available channel-wise, for owners of Roku devices in the UK, you need to be reading this blog each and every week! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That, while this 'Whisper TV' app for Roku devices can be found within the 'Just Added' category (i.e. genre) of the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store, no permanent category / genre had (at the time of writing) been assigned to the channel in the UK. If I somehow succeed in bringing this matter to the attention of the developer / content provider, I'd expect to see this app given a permanent "home" under 'Film & TV' or 'Special Interest' in the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store within a few weeks of so-doing. In the meantime, if you don't wish to trawl through the 'Just Added' category of the channel store to find it, I suggest you take advantage of the built-in Roku 'Search' feature to locate and install it. Using this method, you probably won't even need to finish typing the word "Whisper" before seeing the channel listed among the 'Search Results' displayed on the right-hand side of your television screen. Failure to assign a permanent channel store category for the UK within the next two weeks (however) would mean that, once it ceases to be part of the 'Just Added' category, it would no longer be listed in the channel store. So, if you think you're likely to want this channel, my advice would be to install it by the end of August (at the latest) because, if the necessary edits are not made to the Roku channel package (.PKG file) by that time, you will not see it there afterwards. Needless to say, if/when the channel is edited to include a permanent channel store category for the UK, I'll update this listing with details of whatever genre has been assigned to it. As mentioned above I'd expect this to be the 'Film & TV' or 'Special Interest' genre, but it could (possibly) wind-up in another category.

Confusingly, the same channel icon (aka 'HD Poster' image) has been used to represent each of these apps in the Roku Channel Store, so be sure to check exactly which one you intend to add because this latest one requires an annual subscription payment, while the previous one 'Arab Live Channels' has a monthly subscription. At the time of writing both apps remain available for install via the channel store but, if/when one (or the other) is removed I will be sure to update the relevant post(s) to reflect any such changes that are made! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That this 'Blue Moon Late Night' channel app should not be confused with another similarly named Roku channel - labelled as the 'Blue Moon Movies' app for identification purposes in the Roku Channel Store - that featured in my 'Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #329' post back in June of this year. Confusingly, the same channel icon (aka 'HD Poster' image) has been used to represent each of these apps in the Roku Channel Store, so be sure to check exactly which one you intend to add. At the time of writing both of these monthly subscription channels remain available for install via the channel store but, if/when one (or the other) of the apps is removed I will be sure to update the relevant post(s) to reflect any such changes that are made! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That 'Wu Tang Collection' was originally released as a US-only Roku channel back in November 2016 - around the time that my 'Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #193' post was published - but has now been updated, including a new channel icon (aka 'HD Poster' image) to represent it in the channel store, as well as being (finally) extended across "The Pond" for the benefit of UK Roku owners who enjoy martial arts films. In addition to the 'Roku Guide' review for this new app (see link above) you can also read the 'Roku Guide' review of the original channel, so you could then compare & contrast the 2016 version of the app with the current one listed in this post! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That the original 'NiaTV' app for the Roku platform was released as a US-only channel in February 2018 - around the time my 'Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #256' post was published - but has now been updated and given a (slight) rebrand, including a new channel icon (aka 'HD Poster' image) to represent it in the channel store, as well as (finally) being extended across "The Pond" for the benefit of UK Roku owners who'd like to access Nia workouts, podcasts & more on their favourite streaming media player(s). In the absence of any review for the current app, if you are interested, you can always read the 'Roku Guide' review of the original 'NiaTV' channel, to (at least) get some idea of what to expect, but bear in mind this is different to the 2018 version! ;-) :-)
