Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #141

Hi, everyone !!

Bit pushed for time today as, even though there's not too many new channels - especially if compared to last week - there were a lot of extra details for one or two, as well as several channel icons to be photographed and a handful of "missing" reviews which were not available from 'Roku Guide' at the time this post was first compiled. Consequently, I'm going to jump straight into the list of new channel additions and will flesh-out the Roku-related news aspects of the article and other "missing" details as & when I get the chance. Anyway, here goes:-

LOVE NATURE..............................COST: FREE + £3.99 (MONTHLY) [Roku Guide Review]

***N.B. NOT CATEGORISED in the Roku UK Channel Store WHEN FIRST RELEASED***

PLEASE NOTE:- That, due to an error in the publishing process, the "Love Nature" channel has not been allocated a permanent genre in the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store and can (currently) only be found in the "New" category - from where it will disappear in around one month - although, you can also find it, and add it to your channel selection, using the Roku "Search" function - either from within the channel store, or on the 'Homescreen' of your device - and that will always remain the case, whether it has a permanent genre in the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store or not. Hopefully, Roku will take action to remedy this situation sooner, rather than later, so that the channel is more immediately visible to UK Roku owners who may wish to add it. Should the channel developers read this, then I suggest you message your developer contact at Roku within the next week to avoid the channel "disappearing" from the channel store one month from now & I'll attempt to do the same - if I get a chance to do so.

Anyhow, like it or not, that is your lot for this week and, thanks mainly to the half dozen or so channels (which were previously published via the "Official" Roku USA Channel Store) making a late (but still very much appreciated) arrival on Roku devices in the UK, we have just about managed to exceed the nineteen channels which made it into the "Official" Roku USA Channel Store during the same time-frame, with the choice of 20 NEW CHANNELS shown above. Way to go, Roku UK !!!!!!

Small victories aside... hopefully everyone in the UK with a Roku player managed to find something they like within the twenty "public" channels outlined above... or else from the "private" channels, whose access codes were "gifted" to you via the companion Twitter Feed to this blog, at various points throughout the last seven days. That said, if you didn't find anything to add to your Roku channel selection from the assortment of channels on offer this week, you can always pay us a visit another time when, with any luck, there will be something more to your liking. Afterall, there's no point installing every channel because like I've said before... when it comes to adding more new channels to your Roku devices, IT'S YOUR CHOICE and, as with all things Roku... THE CHOICE IS ALWAYS YOURS!

*********************************************

As mentioned previously, you can expect my usual summary of all the goings-on (or not) in the (severely restricted) Roku Channel Store that features on NowTV Boxes to follow in the near future. Meanwhile, whether you happen to own a Roku player, a NowTV Box, OR BOTH, as I do... be sure to check my earlier posts (as mentioned before) for all the new additions to the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store in each of the sixty-seven preceding weeks and then come back again in seven days' time for my next 'Weekly RoundUp'. However, if you can't wait that long, remember you can always keep up with all the UK Roku action (as it happens) throughout the coming week, by following the companion Twitter Feed: @ukrokuchannels where up-to-the-minute info on all things Roku-related (here in the UK) is posted on a daily basis (well, almost).

Until the next time, then...

That's all folks !!
