UK Roku Channels

Hi, everyone !!



PHEW!....... WHAT A WEEK THIS HAS BEEN! Ever since late Monday night / early Tuesday morning when we FINALLY saw the (overly) long-awaited arrival of 'Amazon Video' (UK) on the Roku platform, it's been a non-stop roller-coaster of action in terms of Roku-related news and channel additions piling-up in the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store. In fact, there were so many that we broke the record for the number of new channels added in one week! These latest additions mean we have also now passed the landmark of 2,100 "public" channels on Roku UK devices - even more, when you factor in all of the "private" channels that are available to add - and more are coming all the time! Then, on top of all that, we witnessed the start of the UK rollout for Roku Software 'Version 7.0' which should be coming to all UK Roku devices over the course of the next week or so! :-) There's a few more bits & pieces to tell you about as well, but...


... as you can well imagine, more so even than last week, I've been extremely hard-pushed for time today and, with further details for all of the aforementioned news stories to follow, I'm going to have to jump straight into the list of new channel additions and then flesh-out the Roku-related news aspects of this article as and when I get the chance. Likewise, not all of the 'Roku Guide' reviews are available because there were so many new channels added to the "Official" Roku USA Channel Store that their weekly coverage has had to be published in two parts. The links here are from "Part One", with those from "Part Two" to be added to this post in the coming days. Furthermore, I have some additional information in the pipeline for the handful of new channels which are unique to the UK, as well as some others which were previously published to Roku devices in the USA and, therefore, will not be found in the "New" category (i.e. genre) of the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store. One last thing... if you want to add "Amazon Video", then look for it under "Most Popular" or use Roku "Search" to find it since, for some unknown reason, Roku has yet to add it to either the "New" or "Film & TV" genres where you might otherwise expect to find it.
