Hi, everyone !!
Further to the slight dip in the number of new channels last week, compared to the larger lists of apps covering a period of several weeks prior to that, I'm sad to say the amount of new apps has dropped once more... but, even so, we've seen A PRETTY GOOD CROP OF NEW CHANNEL RELEASES to further boost the UK Channel Store total. To wit, no less than SEVENTY NEW ROKU APPS have been added to the already vast selection of over six thousand six hundred apps that populated the channel store as of this time last week. That means we've now been blessed with close to seventeen hundred new apps, in a period of only eighteen weeks, any of which UK Roku owners can add to the individual selection of apps that are installed on their device(s). As if that wasn't enough... there are also several items of streaming-related news for me to report on but, as has been the case for the last month, or so, I will (again) need to postpone my summary of Roku (and other) news from the past week until I can find time to catch up with everything and add the "missing" details to all of those posts - since, right now, I must (instead) focus on listing all of those new Roku apps for you! :-)
Before I get into the current list of channels, however, I would just like to point-out that the ongoing issue of "missing" reviews from the 'Roku Guide' website appears to not have improved much since my previous article for this blog. Over the course of the last eighteen weeks, my 'Weekly RoundUp' posts have seen a total of 1,667 new channels added. Meanwhile, the number of 'Roku Guide' reviews being published has continued to fall short of the mark during that time. Looking at all of the articles they have published since the start of the year, there has been a total of only 521 new reviews added to their website. With a minimum of around another fifty-four "missing" reviews from the last week they remain close to seventy percent shy of where they should be and, if this continues, there could be hundreds (if not thousands) more Roku channels with no corresponding independent review for me to provide a link from each of the relevant 'Weekly RoundUp' posts on my blog. I'm hoping this shortfall is addressed soon because, as mentioned fourteen weeks ago, the current situation isn't good for anyone connected to Roku: be they end-users, developers, bloggers like myself, or even Roku - whose platform provides the very source from which 'Roku Guide' generate their reviews! :-O
Still, back to the list... which, as always, will help you to identify the very latest apps that have been added to Roku devices in the UK. Other websites offering Roku channel listings will base their contents on the Roku USA Channel Store, which means they also include apps that are unavailable to UK Roku users. So, like I've said before... if you really want to know what's available channel-wise, for owners of Roku devices in the UK, you need to be reading this blog each and every week! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That, although this 'Lenox Media Player' channel is FREE-TO-ADD to your Roku device(s), it is designed to serve as a client app for the services of compatible IPTV providers... and, as such, means that ADDITIONAL FEES WILL LIKELY BE REQUIRED when signing-up for the IPTV service of your choosing. So, much like the 'Lenox MP' app for iOS (Apple) mobile devices plus the 'Lenox Media Player' app for Android phones and tablets, while the app(s) can be installed for free... A PAID SUBSCRIPTION WITH A THIRD-PARTY PROVIDER IS ALSO NEEDED for the 'Lenox Media Player' to be of any use when attempting to stream content (such as TV shows, films, or live-streaming radio, etc.) and YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN-IN using the same credentials (i.e. username, password, etc.) which are associated with your IPTV subscription. Assuming that your chosen provider has partnered with 'TVMiddleware', who developed the 'Lenox Media Player' app, it will have been assigned a unique 'Service ID' which you will also need to enter when first setting-up your Roku device for use with the 'Lenox Media Player' channel. While there does not (yet?) appear to be any information specific to the Roku platform, you can find more information about 'Lenox MP' on the dedicated 'Lenox App' webpage from the developer's website. Likewise if you have any more questions, or require further assistance, in respect of the 'Lenox Media Player' app(s)... there is also a dedicated 'Customer Support' webpage on the official website of the developer. Generally speaking, the reviews left for the iOS app (on both the UK and the US versions of the 'iTunes' App Store) plus the equivalent Android app (from the Google Play Store) have been quite favourable... though I have no experience, and nor have I seen any reviews, of the Roku channel (app) for 'Lenox Media Player' to provide more specific feedback as to the performance of 'Lenox Media Player' on Roku devices. In so far as I can tell, most of the criticisms levelled at the (iOS/Android) app are concerned with "lag" and/or "stabilty" when streaming. The general consensus seems to be that issues of this sort can be overcome by resetting your modem although, as is often the case with Roku channels, it might also be worth removing the app (then power-cycling your Roku device) and re-installing it again, after your Roku player has rebooted itself. Of course, as with any streaming service, problems can also stem from the content provider... so, if all else fails, it might also be worth exploring that possibility. However, all being well, this is another welcome addition to the 'IPTV' streaming options on Roku.
