Hi, everyone !!
While it doesn't quite match the vast number of new channels released last week, I'm pleased to say that we have, nevertheless, had YET ANOTHER HUGE CROP OF NEW CHANNELS to further boost the UK Channel Store total. To wit, ONE HUNDRED AND TWO NEW ROKU APPS have been added to the already vast selection of over six thousand nine hundred apps which populated the channel store as of this time last week. This means we have now been blessed with over two thousand new apps, during a period of just twenty-two weeks, any of which UK Roku owners can add to the individual selection of apps installed on their device(s). As if that wasn't enough... there are also several items of streaming-related news for me to report on but, unfortunately, I will (once again) need to postpone my summary of all the Roku (and other) news from the past seven days until I can find time to catch-up with everything and add the "missing" details to this post - because, right now, I must instead focus on listing all of those one hundred plus new Roku apps for you! ;-) :-)
Before I get into the current list of channels, however, I would just like to point-out that the ongoing issue of "missing" reviews from the 'Roku Guide' website appears to have worsened (yet again) since my previous article on this blog. Over the last twenty-two weeks, my 'Weekly RoundUp' posts have seen a total of 2,045 new channels added. Meanwhile, the number of 'Roku Guide' reviews being published has continued to fall short of the mark during that time. Looking at all of the articles they have published since the start of the year, there has been a total of only 603 new reviews added to their website. With a minimum of around another eighty-one "missing" reviews from the last week they remain more than seventy percent short of where they should be and, if this continues, there could be hundreds (if not thousands) more Roku channels with no corresponding independent review for me to provide a link from each of the relevant 'Weekly RoundUp' posts on my blog. I hope this shortfall is addressed soon because, as mentioned eighteen weeks ago, the current situation isn't good for anyone connected to Roku: be they end-users, developers, bloggers like myself, or even Roku - whose platform provides the very source from which 'Roku Guide' generate their reviews! :-O
Still, back to the list... which, as always, will help you to identify the very latest apps that have been added to Roku devices in the UK. Other websites offering Roku channel listings will base their contents on the Roku USA Channel Store, which means they also include apps that are unavailable to UK Roku users. So, like I've said before... if you really want to know what's available channel-wise, for owners of Roku devices in the UK, you need to be reading this blog each and every week! ;-) :-)

Unfortunately the channel icon (aka "HD Poster" image) is identical for both apps so, before you install either 'Hip Hop Movement' app, please be sure to check the description in the Roku Channel Store to ascertain which of the two versions you have selected to add to your app selection. The unique channel store identifier is different for each one which suggests they were intentionally added as individual apps but, at the time of writing, it is not known whether the developer will allow both to remain available for install... or if one will be removed. Of course, if the two versions are to remain in the Roku Channel Store, it would be easier if the developer were to rename one (or both) of them to clarify which is which. Whatever the reason for using "sneak peak" instead of "sneak peek" when providing a title for their app, I thought it best to point-out this peculiarity so as to make clear that the channel name "Pickurflick Sneak Peak" is represented here in the format originally assigned to it by the developer and not as the result of any spelling mistake / grammatical error on my part! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That, while this 'Free Grindhouse Videos' channel for Roku devices can be found within the 'Just Added' category (i.e. genre) of the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store, no permanent category / genre had (at the time of writing) been assigned to this channel in the UK. If I somehow succeed in bringing this matter to the attention of the developer / content provider, I'd expect to see this app given a permanent "home" under 'Film & TV' or 'Special Interest' in the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store within a few weeks of so-doing. In the meantime, if you don't wish to trawl through the 'Just Added' category of the channel store to find it, I suggest you take advantage of the built-in Roku 'Search' feature to locate and install it. Using this method, you probably won't even need to finish typing the words "Free Grindhouse" before seeing the channel listed among the 'Search Results' displayed on the right-hand side of your television screen. Failure to assign a permanent channel store category for the UK within the next two weeks (however) would mean that, once it ceases to be part of the 'Just Added' category, it would no longer be listed in the channel store. So, if you think you're likely to want this channel, my advice would be to install it by the middle of June (at the latest) because, if the necessary edits are not made to the Roku channel package (.PKG file) by that time, you will not see it there afterwards. Needless to say, if/when the channel is edited to include a permanent channel store category for the UK, I'll update this listing with details of whatever genre has been assigned to it. As mentioned above I'd expect this to be either the 'Film & TV' or 'Special Interest' genre, but it could (possibly) wind-up in another category.
