Hi, everyone !!
After a sustained period with close to one hundred new channels being released every week over the past month - with the exception of last week when we saw a (slight) drop in output - I'm sorry to say that, despite ANOTHER GOOD CROP OF NEW CHANNELS boosting the UK Channel Store total, the downward trend (in terms of new channel numbers) continued over the past seven days. While it does represent another significant drop, no less than SIXTY-FIVE NEW ROKU APPS were added to the already vast selection of over six thousand five hundred which populated the channel store as of this time last weekend. That means we have now been blessed with over fifteen hundred new apps, during a period of just sixteen weeks, any of which UK Roku owners can add to the individual app selection installed on their device(s). As if that wasn't enough... there are also several items of streaming-related news for me to report on but, as has been the case for the last few weeks, I will (once more) need to postpone my summary of all the Roku (and other) news from the past seven days until I can find the time to catch up with everything and add the "missing" details to all the posts - as, right now, I must again focus on listing all of those new Roku apps for you! ;-) :-)
Before I get into the current list of channels, however, I would just like to point-out that the ongoing issue of "missing" reviews from the 'Roku Guide' website appears to not have improved to any extent. Over the course of the last sixteen weeks, my 'Weekly RoundUp' posts have seen a total of 1,523 new channels added. Meanwhile, the number of 'Roku Guide' reviews being published has continued to fall short of the mark during that time. Looking at all the articles they have published since the start of the year, there has been a total of only 474 new reviews added to their website. With a minimum of around another fifty-four "missing" reviews from the last week they remain close to seventy percent shy of where they should be and, if this continues, there could be hundreds (if not thousands) more Roku channels with no corresponding independent review for me to provide a link from each of the relevant 'Weekly RoundUp' posts on my blog. I'm hoping this shortfall is addressed soon because, as mentioned twelve weeks ago, the current situation isn't good for anyone connected to Roku: be they end-users, developers, bloggers like myself, or even Roku - whose platform provides the very source from which the 'Roku Guide' website generates their reviews! :-O
Still, back to the list... which, as always, will help you to identify the very latest apps that have been added to Roku devices in the UK. Other websites offering Roku channel listings will base their contents on the Roku USA Channel Store, which means they also include apps that are unavailable to UK Roku users. So, like I've said before... if you really want to know what's available channel-wise, for owners of Roku devices in the UK, you need to be reading this blog each and every week! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That 'The Munsters Family' channel appears to be little more than a mash-up of two previously released Roku apps from earlier this year: "The Munsters" plus "The Addams Family" [both of which were featured in my 'Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #304' post] and, just like those previous channels, the content from within 'The Munsters Family' is sadly inaccessible due to loading issues which may (or may not) stem from the embedded advertising used to support the channel. If you follow the link to the 'Roku Guide' review (see above) and scroll to the 'Comments' section, you will see that another Roku user has also experienced issues when attempting to stream episodes from this latest app, saying:
"Adams Family shows have a glitch. When they cut to commercials,
they move to the next episode so you can only watch 1/4 of the show."
Whereas this user was (at least) able to watch one quarter of the show, in my case, I found that none of the episodes would even start. Perhaps it was a pre-roll advertisement causing the trouble? I really cannot say... but, like the Roku user who left the above comment, it was clear to me that the channel was simply cycling through from one episode to the next without playing the content as anticipated.

PLEASE NOTE:- That, despite the above channel icon [aka 'HD Poster' image] for this new Roku app displaying the title of "Really Great Bad Movies", the developer has (presumably?) erroneously named the channel as I have recorded it for this post (i.e. "Really Bad Great Movies", as shown here). Both the official description of the channel plus the URL associated with it, from the Roku website, also (currently) feature this same (incorrect?) wording... whereby "Great" and "Bad" are reversed, to rather humorous (if unintended) effect. Whether or not the developer will address this issue remains to be seen but, in the meantime, let's hope - since they charge a MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION at a cost of £1.49 PER MONTH for access to the content library - that they made a better job of sourcing titles for this channel than they did with the word order used when naming their Roku app! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That this 'Iran Mahvareh Plus' channel appears to be nothing more than a slightly more expensive variation on the previously released annual subscription channel 'Iran Mahvareh Pro'. To wit, this 'Plus' version has an ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION cost of £27.99 PER YEAR as opposed to the fee of only £24.49 per year that is associated with the 'Pro' version. Those who would prefer to subscribe to the (slightly) cheaper 'Pro' version, will find details of that alternative channel featured in my "Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #317" post. At the time of writing... both channels remain available for install on Roku devices along with a third option called 'Iran Mahvareh', that has no suffix, is free-to-stream, and featured in my "Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #312" post back in February of this year. Unfortunately, it is still unclear whether a monthly plan might be an option for those who subscribe via other methods (e.g. through their official website) so, to avoid being charged annually, I suggest you first contact them to discuss any alternative payment methods.
