Hi, everyone !!
We've had ANOTHER MAMMOTH CROP OF NEW CHANNEL ADDITIONS to further boost the selection available via the UK Roku Channel Store with SIXTY-TWO NEW ROKU APPS added to the already vast selection of over five thousand six hundred populating the channel store as of this time two weeks ago. So, much like that 'Weekly RoundUp #297' post, I must (again) forego my summary of Roku-related news from the past 7 days so I can assemble a complete list of those new apps...
...the idea being that, with no Roku-related news to share, I can (instead) focus on the important task of providing details for all the latest new Roku channels (apps) which were released during the seven days since my last 'Weekly RoundUp' post was published and, with another HUGE SELECTION of 62 new Roku channels, that should (hopefully) be more than enough to keep you occupied while I see what snippets of Roku-related news I can find for you in the coming week! ;-) :-)
Firstly, though, I'd just like to mention (on a not entirely un-related note) that I have now added links to some (though, still not all) of the 'Roku Guide' reviews that were previously "missing" for many of the new Roku channels released in the last few weeks... to wit, ten of these "new" reviews were for Roku channels that were featured in my 'Weekly RoundUp' post of two weeks ago so, if you'd like an independent appraisal of those apps, be sure to check-out the relevant post (see link above), which (itself) contains a link to the previous week's post (and so-on, and so-forth), for details of where to find them. Unfortunately, there are even more "missing" links to the 'Roku Guide' reviews for over sixty per cent of the new apps published in the last seven days... which means, much like many other posts in recent times, you're going to have to do the research on those channels by yourselves. As of nine months ago, you can choose to do that either via the built-in channel store on your Roku device(s)... or else, following the links in each post to the relevant channel description(s) from the Roku Web Channel Store. Once the "missing" reviews have been published by 'Roku Guide', I will (as I have done previously) ensure that I add the relevant link(s) to each post. Apologies (as always) for any inconvenience caused by the absence of active links to an independent review for so many of the new apps this week but, like I say, it's entirely out of my hands. Hopefully they'll get a chance to catch-up in the coming week, otherwise I may have to start doing my own reviews!?! :-O ;-) :-)
Anyway, back to the list... which, as always, will help you to identify the very latest apps that have been added to Roku devices in the UK. Other websites offering Roku channel listings will base their contents on the Roku USA Channel Store, which means they also include apps that are unavailable to UK Roku users. So, like I've said before... if you really want to know what's available channel-wise, for owners of Roku devices in the UK, you need to be reading this blog each and every week! ;-) :-)

PLEASE NOTE:- That, although this 'Screen Mirroring to Roku' channel is FREE-TO-ADD to all compatible Roku players, it will only be of use to those with an Apple Mac computer that is capable of running the companion desktop app required for this Roku channel to function. The reason being that it's basically a "receiver" for use with a paid "Screen Mirroring to Roku" desktop app that can be purchased from the 'Mac App Store' on compatible Apple computers. The Roku app will not function as a standalone channel and requires the "companion" Mac app in order to stream anything. To give you a better idea of it's potential, here's a short (2-minute) video which explains the basic principles:-
The general idea is that you can use the "Screen Mirroring to Roku" desktop app on your Apple Mac computer to wirelessly mirror your Mac's main screen, secondary display, or any specific apps to your Roku device(s), with no additional adapters required. Further information on how to mirror your Mac screen to your Roku can be found in this "Screen Mirroring to Roku" user guide from the website of the developer. If you plan on using this software, you should also download this audio driver which is required for streaming the audio to any streaming content that you intend to "mirror" to your Roku. In the event that you no longer require it... there is also this uninstaller to remove the 'AudioCast' driver from your Mac. Then, if you still have need of further assistance, your next step should be to complete the online contact form from their website and wait for the support team to respond to your query. PLEASE NOTE:- That, while the 'Hip Hop Underground Exposure' channel for Roku devices can be found within the 'New' category (i.e. genre) of the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store, no permanent category / genre had (at the time of writing) been assigned to this channel in the UK. If I somehow succeed in bringing this matter to the attention of the developer / content provider, I'd expect to see this app given a permanent "home" under 'Music' in the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store within a few weeks of so-doing. In the meantime, if you don't wish to trawl through the 'New' category of the channel store to find it, I suggest you take advantage of the built-in Roku 'Search' feature to locate and install it. Using this method, you probably won't even need to finish typing the words "Hip Hop" before seeing the channel listed among the 'Search Results' displayed on the right-hand side of your television screen. Failure to assign a permanent channel store category for the UK within the next four weeks (however) would mean that, once it ceases to be part of the 'New' category, it would no longer be listed in the channel store. So, if you think you're likely to want this channel, my advice would be to install it by the first week in January (at the latest) because, if the necessary edits are not made to the Roku channel package (.PKG file) by that time, you will not see it in there afterwards. Needless to say, if/when the channel is edited to include a permanent channel store category for the UK, I'll update this listing with details of whatever genre has been assigned to it. As mentioned above I would expect this to be the 'Music' genre, but it could (possibly) wind-up in another category.
