Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #158

Hi, everyone !!



As was the case last week, and (likewise) five weeks ago, there has (incredibly) been yet another bumper crop of new additions to the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store during the last seven days. As a result, I have (again) been somewhat hard-pushed for time today and, with further details for all of the Roku-related news stories from the past week still to follow, I'm going to have to jump straight into the list of new channel additions and then flesh-out those other aspects of this article as and when I get the chance. That said, you can always look back over the information shared via the companion Twitter Feed: @ukrokuchannels and you'll find most (if not all) of the Roku news there.


There's also details I intend to add for some "companion" apps (to use with mobile devices) which may come in handy when you are away from your Roku device(s) for whatever reason. So, for all that info plus one or two other bits of Roku-related news this week - which (as I said before) I will endeavour to squeeze-in when I get chance - you may want to revisit this post at a later date but, meanwhile... you'll find links to further details for the current crop of new additions listed below.


Having said that... as has been the case for the past few weeks, there are some "missing" links to 'Roku Guide' reviews for channels which form part of this list. As usual, these will be added to this post as and when they become available. Meanwhile, it is worth noting that all of the channels are available to Roku owners in the USA (as evidenced by their inclusion in the Roku web channel store) and readers of this blog from the United States can follow the links (provided below) to the Roku channel descriptions until such time as their reviews are published by 'Roku Guide'. Anyhow, like it or not, that is your lot for this week and - thanks (largely) to the recent arrival of some back-catalogue output from Roku developer Netformz, Inc. - I am pleased to report that, with the above list of thirty-nine new additions, we have managed to exceed the no less significant total of thirty-two channels which made it into the "Official" Roku USA Channel Store during the same time-frame - WAY TO GO, ROKU UK! :-) Still, no matter which Roku "region" you happen to be in, it's better to get some new channels to boost your choices than none at all... as I'm sure you'll agree?!


Either way, hopefully everyone in the UK with a Roku player managed to find something they like within the thirty-nine "public" channels outlined above... or else from the "private" channels, whose access codes were "gifted" to you via the companion Twitter Feed to this blog, at various points throughout the last seven days. That said, if you didn't find anything to add to your Roku channel selection from the assortment of channels on offer this week, you can always pay us a visit another time when, with any luck, there will be something more to your liking. Afterall, there's no point installing every channel because, like I've said before... when it comes to adding new channels to your Roku, IT'S YOUR CHOICE  as with all things Roku... THE CHOICE IS ALWAYS YOURS!
