Hi, everyone !!
With the annual "Countdown To Halloween" fast approaching, my blogging burden looks set to get even heavier during the next month, or so... the prospect of which fills me (appropriately enough, as it turns out) with both dread and fear. However, I'd much rather spend that time filled with the kind of dread and fear which found it's way into the Roku USA Channel Store during the past seven days... and, in case you're still wondering, I'm talking about the NEW "Screambox" CHANNEL which, for a very reasonable $3.99 per month, promises "an all-you-can-kill menu" of the most terrifying horror programming from around the world. If you take a quick look at the full channel description from the Roku website - FOUND HERE - you will see that this channel offers a mixture of all-time classics and exciting new releases from a hand-picked selection of horror movies by film-makers as far afield as Iceland, Spain, Norway, Korea, Japan, Thailand & the Netherlands plus, much nearer to home... England. If you're a fan of the genre (as I am) then a short browse through the assorted categories in the sub-menu will be enough to convince you that this is a worthy addition to your Roku player channel selection... whether it's a recent addition to the "Now Screaming" section, or your pick-of-the-bunch from "Possession & Demons", "Ghosts & Spirts", "Home Invasion", "Killers" or one of several other niches of nastiness, you're sure to find something to suit your individual taste(s) or celebrate and indulge in your nightmares, your worst fears, and/or terror of the unknown !!
Sadly, this channel has not yet(?) been made available to UK Roku owners... although, I did contact both the content provider, 'Screambox' (TWITTER FEED: @ScreamboxTV), and the Roku channel developer who created it, '1 Mainstream' (TWITTER FEED: @OneMainstream), in the hope that they can extend coverage to the UK before we reach Hallowe'en. If any of you would welcome the addition of this particular channel to the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store then I suggest you also get in touch with 'Screambox' and '1 Mainstream' to add weight to the argument "for" extending coverage here. In the meantime, it's probably a blessing in disguise (for me, at least) that it's not available in the UK at this point in time because (as some of you can already attest) I really don't need any further distractions from catching-up on the missing Roku-related news on this blog !!

Fortunately, as I said last week, I have managed to remain up-to-date with all of the latest additions to the "New" category of the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store during the past seven weeks and it's still just a case of dotting a few "i's" and crossing some "t's" to flesh out what's missing. As before, rather than post links for individual weeks, I'll simply refer you back to an earlier post, namely "Roku UK Channel Store - Weekly RoundUp #78", which contains all of the pertinent information you might need when researching back over the articles in question. I'm sorry this has continued to drag-on (far) longer than anticipated, and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you in the meantime, but (all being well) things will be back up to speed before too long!
For now... all I can offer you (once more) is a brief summary of the latest channel additions to the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store from the past seven days. As with my other recent posts, you can expect all the Roku-related news from this past week, along with details of any changes to the channel selection found on NowTV Boxes, to be added at some point in the near future. Until then... there's a couple of "Special Interest" channels, as well as new "Film & TV" / "Game" channels, plus four more options in the "Screensavers & Apps" category, among the selection of new channels which have been added in the last seven days. Hopefully that should be more than enough to keep you occupied until I'm back on track again!
Anyway, with all of that Roku-related news still to follow, let's now press on with details for the current 'Weekly RoundUp' of NEW ADDITIONS to the "Official" Roku UK Channel Store. This time, there are EIGHT NEW CHANNELS which have been added during the past seven days. These latest additions to the channel line-up have provided FRESH CONTENT in the Film & TV, Games, Special Interest, plus Screensavers & Apps genres (i.e. categories).
In keeping with previous installments from the 'Weekly RoundUp' series, details of these new channels have all been listed below, together with links to obtain further information {by clicking on the channel name(s) beneath the respective channel icon(s) as pictured} and to read a 'Roku Guide' review with an independent (slightly more expansive) assessment of each one:-

Anyhow, like it or not, that is your lot for this week and, whilst it doesn't quite the match-up to the thirteen channels which made it into the "Official" Roku USA Channel Store during the same time-frame, I always think it's better to have SOME NEW CHOICES than none at all, don't you ?!!
