For the benefit of anyone who has not had a chance to view the comments I've been sporadically posting via my Twitter Feed: @ukrokuchannels since this morning, THE BIG NEWS IS... that ROKU HAVE TODAY made an announcement on their Official Blog: "Introducing the all-new Roku family" which not only CONFIRMED THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF A UK EDITION ROKU 3 but also a further two new Roku player models (namely the Roku 1 and Roku 2 streaming media players) which are to be released for Roku purchasers in the UK market on 11th October 2013.
Of course, whenever someone introduces you to any new members of the family there is usually a family photo opportunity to be had and, in that respect, the "new Roku family" is no different. So, here's a first look at the new members of the UK Roku family, as featured on the NEW BANNER HEADLINE from the "Official" Roku UK Website:-

Don't they all look lovely ?!! You can see the family resemblance, can't you ?!! Anyway, it's the elder sibling of the bunch (on the far right of the picture) that we're mainly interested in because, like I said before, the two younger members of the Roku family won't be available on these shores for a couple of weeks. Whereas ROKU 3, I'm pleased to say, IS AVAILABLE IN THE UK AS OF TODAY !!

Hopefully, the Trusted Roku UK Resellers that don't (currently) have a listing on their website(s) for the Roku 3 streaming media player [UK Edition] will address that situation and make the necessary changes to their online product catalogue(s) soon. Needless to say, as soon as I hear of anything, I'll be sure to keep you updated on all the information for purchasing your Roku 3 UK player.
Meanwhile, I thought I'd share a link with you for an online PDF of the Quick Start Guide that comes with the new Roku 3 streaming media player [UK Edition] & which can be FOUND HERE for those of you who'd like to take a look ahead of getting your new Roku 3 [UK Edition] player. It's probably worth having a read to familiarise yourself with the setup procedure before taking delivery of your new streaming media player, especially if this is your first foray into the world of Roku.
Anyway, that's about all I've got to say for today. Once my own Roku 3 is delivered, which will hopefully be within the next day or so, I'll try to get some more photos and bits of information posted for you. Likewise, I'll try and keep you up to speed with the arrival of the Roku 1 and Roku 2 players but, as I said before, they're not released until 11th October 2013, so that post may not happen for a while yet. In the meantime, stay tuned to this blog for more UK-related Roku news & updates PLUS keep a close eye on the companion Twitter Feed for daily tidbits of Roku info & other stuff !!
