You should be able to get things set-up in NZ...Hi.

You should be able to get things set-up in NZ, but you'll need to sort out a VPN / Smart DNS service and make sure you have a router which will support making the DNS changes to get your Roku set-up correctly as there is no way to alter DNS settings on the Roku device itself.

Have a look at this article by 'Eye On Demand' on "How To Set Up A British Roku Box Outside the UK" for more information:-

http://www.eyeondemand.com/2015/11/09/how-to-set-up-a-british-roku-box-outside-the-uk

Hopefully that should help... but, you'll need to get the VPN / DNS Router set-up correctly and make sure it is running BEFORE you register for your account & activate your Roku device. There will be a small monthly fee for the VPN / Smart DNS service but that's the only way for you to achieve what you are asking / hoping for.

Good luck! The Channel Guidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02797337219018015346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8840971205945492095.post-22509538765160724372017-02-15T05:04:56.571-08:002017-02-15T05:04:56.571-08:00Hi mate. Could I be able to bypass the restrictions by having this model & registering in a Roku UK account (ie: putting a UK address) in spite of my IP address identifying me as being based in NZ? ThanksAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09123157913859916763noreply@blogger.com
